Make Your Own Simple CBD Lip Balm
Making CBD lip balm is a very easy process and only requires a few ingredients, a double boiler, and some containers. First, you'll need to get some good coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, almond extract, and of course, CBD oil. You can substitute any of the products for a different oil, butter, wax, or extract of your choice, except for the CBD!
Once you have your ingredients, you'll want to get about an inch of water in a double boiler and start boiling it. The wax and butter will take longer to melt, so you'll want to start with those first. As the wax and butter begin to melt, you can then add the firm coconut oil to the mixture. You may need to stir a bit to mix these three ingredients. Once the wax, butter, and oil have mixed together, you may remove the mixture from the heat.
CBD will lose some of its effectiveness if heated too long, so it's important to have removed the pot from the heat and to not continue to heat as you add the CBD oil. A good CBD tincture will work well here. Add a half dropper of a 3000mg Tincture, or the equivalent to 50mg CBD. Finally, add a few drops of the almond extract and let cool slightly. Once the mixture has cooled a few minutes you can simply pour it into the containers and let them finish cooling. This will only take a few minutes before it will harden if the right measurements were used:
